Here’s a little more about our all-American hometown…
Holly Ridge was incorporated in 1941 in earnest with 28 residents. Holly Ridge is a vibrant town with an interesting history—in 1943, the military’s Camp Davis opened here skyrocketing the population from less than 30 to more than 100,000!
After WWII ended, Camp Davis went dormant and the town became the easygoing small town it is today. Now close to 1,200 people call Holly Ridge home.
Holly Ridge offers eclectic shopping and dining options, City Police and Fire Departments, and is home to the annual Holly Festival—a true hometown celebration with food, fun and entertainment!
With its ideal by-the-beach location,very low cost of living, proximity to Jacksonville and the historic riverfront city of Wilmington, Holly Ridge is quickly becoming a very popular locale.
Holly Ridge was considered as a possible site
for the U.S. Space Program.
Holly Ridge was hoppin’ during the second world war and nearby Topsail Island was the site for a secret Navy project called Operation Bumblebee.
